The Certification in CISM is a certification of knowledge. The purpose of the CISM certificate is to verify that the certificant has demonstrated a fundamental understanding of the core principles of CISM by completing the CISM online examination and answering a minimum number of questions correctly. To the best of ICISF knowledge, the certificant is the person who has taken and successfully completed the CISM online examination.

The certification is an attestation of knowledge at the time of completion of the online examination, only. The criteria for successful completion of the Examination is acknowledged to be at the sole discretion of ICISF and may be subject to change.

This certificate does not represent, warrant or guaranty that the certificant is properly prepared or equipped to perform CISM or any of its components.

It is the certificant’s sole responsibility to ensure that any representation of this certification as well as the application of CISM or any of its components is done in compliance with current “best practices,” the required standards of any relevant professional association, regulatory agency, licensing body, or employer. ICISF disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, as well as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
